I feel my paintings are portraits of a landscape that is within, a visual moment of space and time. My splashes of a limited palette of transparent color are important to create a bold scale with representational texture but each painting will be different as they take on a
life of their own and the complex actions of painting manifests itself.
These paintings emerge as finished obsjects of place and are manifestations of the thoughts and expressive scene, long forgotten but mysteriously being remembered.
